Quite simply put, Shop208.com is a localized social networking site meant to connect local area businesses with a local area audience (Oh, we have a magazine too!) Our focus is on quality across the board, and that alone has shaped this entire little business of ours.
The way we look at it, there are some great small businesses here in the area, and we'd love to be the champions of change towards a more deeply integrated audience loyalty experience. Where traditional marketing and advertising channels have tried and failed, we strongly believe that the first step is active engagement. The powerful tools within Shop208.com are meant to facilitate exactly that.
Think of a Shop208.com profile like your business' very own station. Use the 'Blog' section to communicate anything and/or everything to an audience that has an actual interest in what you've got to say. Viewers have the option to comment on your blog entries, or give you the cold shoulder (but we know our friendly patrons would rather do the former.) Beyond this, viewers can also leave ratings/reviews of their experience(s) with your business, check out the deals and promotions you've got going on, or even browse through your job listings so they'll have some cold hard cash to spend with your business. That's all at the core of Shop208.com, and it's all meant to make everyone's lives a little easier. Beyond all of this sweet goodness, Shop208.com is also branching into a locally-distributed print magazine (First issue due out mid-August! Contact us for your copy.) Just as it is with our website, fresh and relevant content is the heart of our publication. Our talented writers, designers, and artists toil with tremendous effort to deliver a brilliant final product to the doorsteps of rabid fans all across Ada County (The rest of Idaho need not fear, we will be at your aid soon enough!) Be sure to get your hands on this one, folks...this is most definitely not coffee table fodder.
To prevent us from gushing on further about our beloved addition to the community we so greatly love, it would be most prudent to sum it all up now (We loathe saying goodbye, so just know that we're not going anywhere, darlings.)
